Join R.W.H. Miller in Dulverton Catholic Church where he will be giving a talk on the subject of his new book Dr Ashley's Pleasure Yacht. The book explores the life of John Ashley, 19th Century Anglican Clergyman, and his story that led to the founding of the Bristol Channel Mission and its evolution into the Mission to Seafarers. R.W.H. Miller gives an insightful and well researched view into John Ashley's legacy and his contributions to the wider apostolate. He has also published other works on maritime mission history with the Lutterworth Press, Priest in Deep Water and One Firm Anchor. Books will be available at the event.

This day conference is hosted by Leicester Cathedral at St Martins House and will be led by Nigel Rooms (Leader, Partnership for Missional Church UK) and Rosy Fairhurst (Canon Chancellor at Leicester Cathedral), co-authors of the forthcoming Lutterworth title Crossing Thresholds. They will be joined by Timothy Carson, author of Liminal Reality and Transformational Power (also published by the Lutterworth Press), as they explore interdisciplinary and theological perspectives on liminality.
