About this Book

Teaching Christianity: A World Religions Approach has been written by authors and teachers who have been associated with the Chichester Project. It reflects both the accumulated experience of many years' teaching and also the phenomenological approach to teaching Christianity which is a hallmark of the Project. The second edition of this popular teacher's handbook contains a revised Bibliography and a new chapter on assessment and examinations.

The book has three sections. The first section examines some major issues in the study of Christianity. The second section explores aspects of Christianity that might be taught in the classroom. The third and largest section offers examples of good classroom practice and considers the related issues of method, evaluation and assessment. This volume is not a handbook to the Chichester Project series, although there are occasional references to its own as a comprehensive and structured approach to the teaching of Christianity in the modern schoolroom.
