For the amusement of himself and his family, Freelove created a series of lively watercolours of over 70 contemporary horsedrawn vehicles. About the Author

William Francis Freelove (1846-1920) was a solicitor's clerk, a Quaker, and the father of six children, and was (as these sketches show) a keen observer of everyday life in his native borough, Kingston-upon-Thames, in Surrey.
