Terance James Bond is rightly regarded as one of the foremost bird illustrators in Britain. The range and ability of this artist and his meticulous attention to the most delicate of details have been known to bird-lovers for many years. Now, for the first time, his remarkable paintings have been collected together and published as a book which will be treasured both by those who already know his work and by those who are discovering it for the first time.
The strikingly life-like illustrations are reproduced in full colour on high quality art paper. These beautiful paintings of birds in their natural habitats are not only artistic but accurate down to the last feather. Many of these paintings were originally commissioned by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Other paintings were specially commissioned for this book and have never been seen by the public until now. Bond's work is highly sought after both by individuals and galleries and most of the original pictures are in possession of private collectors.

Terance James Bond's reputation as one of our leading bird illustrators is rapidly spreading throughout the world. Born in Suffolk, he spent his formative years on a farm and by the age of ten was already fascinated by natural history. At the first exhibition of his work, all the paintings were sold in one evening and six further exhibitions have proved equally popular. Since 1980 his illustrations have been used in calendars and on Christmas cards for the RSPB and the World Wildlife Fund.
Bond's traditional style relies on gouache, and, wherever possible, he draws from life. A single painting can take up to three months to complete. He is currently establishing a private wildlife reserve at his home in Suffolk to attract and provide a protected natural habitat for a wide range of native and migrant birds.
A magnificent, large format book from Lutterworth Press. Bond is rightly regarded as one of the foremost bird illustrators in Britain. This fine book is an appropriate tribute to his talent. Eastern Daily Press
