This book will encourage and appreciation of all they have to offer. … I hope that this book will enable many people to understand better the significance of ‘their’ church and those of other neighbourhoods and appreciate that the role they play in the townscapes reflects the time of their building.

About the Author
Michael Hodges was educated at Eton College, where he was a King’s Scholar, and at Balliol College, Oxford, where he read Modern History. He worked at the City for Morgan Grenfell and HSBC from 1973 to 2012.
He was Chairman of the Middle East Association 2010-2012. He is fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, a Trustee of the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust, a Trustee of the Victoria County History of Wiltshire, a Trustee designate of Caritas Anchor House and a Knight of Grace and Devotion / Chancellor of the British Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
